It’s Shrove Tuesday and the weekend promises to be festive and lively.
I wanted to propose some unique and particular Carnival masks, but they are also inexpensive and easy to make.
No sooner said than done. It reminded of the movie How to Steal a Million (1966), in which Audrey Hepburn wears a lovely lace mask (with a Givenchy outfit, ça va sans dire). Et voilà, here’s an idea!
2016 Carnival masks are very easy to create!
For the mask you just need to buy a lace edge: you can find it in any haberdashery or fabric store, as well as on Amazon. You will just need a little piece without spending a fortune.
You can attach it to a headband or a satin cord.
Or you can tie it around the head like a headband.
For the rest of the look, just wear a black dress (who doesn’t have at least one in the closet?) and a pair of killer heels.
Regarding the hair, you can put in a bun or a ponytail.
Or leave it loose and a bit messy.
And finally the make up: for a sexier effect, you can’t go wrong with scarlet lips.
For a darker and mysterious style, intensified the color and choose a cherry red.
Here are other lace headbands which ideal as Carnival masks:
