With great trepidation, the eighth and final series of Game of Thrones has begun: waiting for the grand finale, I analyzed the main protagonists of the series according to the principles of Color Analysis:

DAENERYS TARGARYEN – EMILIA CLARKE

In the series we met the Mother of Dragons with platinum hair and cold blue eyes. In real life the British actress has brown hair, but confirms her cold complexion.

We can therefore insert it in the Summer seasonal color palette.

JON SNOW – KIT HARINGTON

Another great protagonist of Game of Thrones is the reckless Jon Snow: his colors in the series remain fairly faithful to the natural ones.

Black eyes and hair, cold and olive skin: Jon Snow grew up in the realm of Winterfell and the actor could only be Absolute Winter!

LENA HEADEY – CERSEI LANNISTER

As bad as she is fascinating, Queen Cersei sports a very different look from that of the actress who plays her in Game of Thrones.

In fact it is almost unrecognizable: long hair and softer and more homogeneous colors, in the series; gritty cut and more contrasting colors live. But always from the cool undertone.

SANSA STARK – SOPHIE TURNER

In the series is a character who has grown so much: from a shy and defenseless girl to a strong and courageous woman. Distinctive feature: romantic red hair.

Sophie Turner is blonde in reality, but she has light and brilliant colors that place her in the Spring color palette: that’s why she looks so good (even) as a redhead!

JAIME LANNISTER – NIKOLAJ COSTER WALDAU

Together with Jon Snow, he is the most beautiful Lannister’s  of Game of Thrones.

In fiction it is a little more tanned, in reality instead the cold undertone is more visible: the actor is a typical example of male Summer Soft.

ARYA STARK – MAISIE WILLIAMS

The little one from the Stark family is definitely the toughest! Her colors in the series are slightly cooled, both in the hair and in the complexion.

But even in real life, despite the hair of a medium brown, the actress belongs to a sub-group Cool: precisely, that of Summer.

ALFIE ALLEN – THEON GREYJOY

The tormented Theon presents slightly more muted colors, in line with the character himself and his sad story.

In reality instead, the actor’s colors are decidedly sunny and brilliant: a great example of Spring Warm!

MISSANDEI – NATHALIE EMMANUEL

The beautiful Missandei has Deep colors, both in fiction and in reality.

In Game of Thrones she has been slightly cooled, perhaps to connote her character as a cold warrior. But the true colors of the actress are warmer and amber-colored: Deep the subgroup, but of the Autumn seasonal color palette.

NATALIE DORMER – MARGAERY TYRELL

Another interesting female character is the shrewd Margaery. In this case a more complex chromatic work was done.

The intensity of the eyes is not matched by the warm undertones of Spring, but the cold undertones of Summer. So in order to make her a redhead, therefore, they had to work a lot on the complexion too.

DROGO – JASON MOMOA

Minor character, but certainly important: Drogo has beautiful warm colors, while the eyes are vaguely greenish, but not intense enough to place it in another season.

Its chromatic characteristics place it in the Deep subgroup of the Autumn season.
