Oscars 2017: looks (and designers) of the ceremony

Nothing is like the Academy Awards!

It’s worth staying awake to breathe the atmosphere of the evening and …to comment on the red carpet looks!

This year has been quite monotonous: all in gold and silver, many in white, some in red and then black of course …

Emma Stone in Givenchy. Perfect dress, perfect color, perfetto make-up and hair!

Charlize Theron in Dior Couture. She is always perfect.

Jessica Biel in KaufmanFranco and Justine Timberlake in Tom Ford. They’re both very elegant: she looks like a goddess, he’s impeccable.

Dakota Johnson in Gucci. Too bad the color! Silver would have been better…

Halle Berry in Versace. Gold again, but this time with black… But what happened to the hair??

Olivia Culpo in Marchesa. If it’s not gold, it’s silver… Very beautiful!

Teresa Palmer in Prada. I love the dress, but it would have been better in gold.

Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso. Silver again, with the usual transparencies…

Sofia Boutella in Chanel. Beautful look! I love the bang…

Priyanka Chopra in Ralph & Russo. Interesting geometries: they enhance the hourglass shape!

Octavia Spencer in Marchesa. Too fluffy, she should haven chosen something simpler and slipped.

Isabelle Huppert in Armani Prive. The elegance of Armani doesn’t need comments

Karlie Kloss in Stella McCartney. I love the cleanliness of Stella McCartney’s lines: she always stands!

Darby Stanchfield in Georges Chakra. Nice look! I would change just the earrings…

Felicity Jones in Dior. Romantic e beautiful in ivory!

Nicole Kidman in Armani Privé. I don’t think the color was a good choice … Thank god she has a red lipstick!

Viola Davis in Armani Prive. Beautiful dress and finally some color!

Ruth Negga in Valentino.Perfect look! The make-up not that good…

Ginnifer Goodwin in Zuhair Murad. The dress has virtually eliminated the neck and the whole figure is affected. Such a pity!

Scarlett Johansson in Alaïa. The squeezed belt perfectly enhances her figure! I don’t like the hairstyle

Kirsten Dunst in Dior. Here we go with black again! Beautiful dress!

Salma Hayek in Alexander McQueen. Mrs. Pinault never goes wrong…

Brie Larson in Oscar de la Renta. Not enhanced by lines and color

Janelle Monáe in Elie Saab Couture. This is what happens when you overdo!

Emma Roberts in vintage Armani Prive. I think she is lovely! Perfect the choice of vintage

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton. Even here we can see the mix of white/black, but smaller effect

Pharrell Williams in Chanel. No, come on! I may be conservative, but to me the man must be classic

Ryan Gosling in Gucci. Good, but not great (I would have changed the shirt). I know what you are thinking…

Vince Vaughn in Dolce & Gabbana. Perfect!

I liked the looks of these Oscars: it could have been worse!

And, considering they have also made a mistake with the title for best movie, everything is allowed!
