Sanremo 2017: the looks from the first evening

And here we go to the 67th edition of the Festival of the Italian Song, long awaited for the run of Maria De Filippi next to the veteran Carlo Conti.

Let see together the looks of this prime time, starting right from the hosts:

CARLO CONTI

At the third run of the Festival, the announcer confirms the choice of Ferragamo for his clothes. How to blame him? There would be complaints on his excessive tanning, but I don’t want to be banal …

MARIA DE FILIPPI

Maria De Filippi is a national popular monument, and she cannot be touched. The usual snob criticize her TV programs, but no one can deny the charisma, intelligence and humanity of this woman. Excellent choice of Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. I would have just avoided the glasses for the evening.

TIZIANO FERRO (AND CARMEN CONSOLI)

Perhaps the real star of this first night was Tiziano Ferro, guest highly anticipated. The suit emphasizes his rigorous and elegant style. Carmen Consoli’s look was great too, wearing a dress by Philosophy and with an updo.

FANTASY PATTERNS

I admit, it’s my problem: on some occasions, I don’t tolerate fantasies! I think, with some exceptions, plain color is more elegant. Sure, it is about young and gritty personality, but a naked belly is the icing on the cake.

TOTAL BLACK

These are fine examples of elegance. Certainly we talk about different generations, but compared to the trio above, you can breathe another refinement, more suited to the evening.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FABRIC

The total black is not enough, often it’s all about fabric … Well, in my opinion shiny fabrics for men’s suits shouldn’t be used. First of all because they widen the body and because they remind me of certain ceremonies in the province.

AND AT THE END

They’re both beautiful, but with two very different styles. Rocio has chosen simplicity, while enhancing her shapes. Diletta, however, has chosen (too much?) seduction: she reminds me of Valeria Marini back to Sanremo ’97 …

And from the Ariston theater, that’s all.

We just have to wait for the next nights and the next looks to comment together.
