Venice Film Festival 2016: the looks from the second week

After the looks of the first (tragic) week, let’s analyze the second part of this Venice Film Festival 2016.

THERE IS A LIMIT TO EVERYTHING

I understand the artist’s creativity, the personal style, the free spirit. But it’s also a matter of dress code. Ana Lily Amirpour gave us absurd looks. Help me understand: in the last picture is she dressed like a gas station man?

THE CHARM OF THE WHITE

White is a (no) color that I love: amazing in summertime, sublime in winter.
Of course the total white is not for everybody non è per tutti, , but there are some who wears it divinely: a cleaner look for Natalie Portman; more regal for Diane Kruger. Both of them are beautiful. Like always.

MALE ELEGANCE

And about total white and rules for the dress code, I want to mention Michele Santoro in sandals (that I would avoid in any occasions) and Joe Bastianich dressed like an ice-cream man on the red carpet.

Yet for men it shouldn’t be so difficult…
To get an idea of male elegance, please look at Tom Ford:

STYLE FAUX PAS

Amanda Sandrelli, Alessandra Carrillo and Kiara Tomaselli: three women, three wrong looks. First of all, those dresses aren’t suitable for the red carpet. Even the accessories aren’t good: ballerina shoes, wedges, bags for the daytime, scarfs with fringes…

HER, MONICA

And there’ s her, the only, my big love: Monica. She is always perfect, with a black little dress or a night dress. Moreover, when you have so much beauty, so much sensuality and much class, there is little to add.

CARNIVAL

Please someone explains to me Caterina Balivo’s look: her colorful hair, the hat (!?), golden slippers and the necklace on the wrong neckline. Somebody helps this woman, who is a also a beautiful girl. Such a pity.

ABOUT HER

Of course I can’t compare Monika Bacardi to a beauty like Michelle Hunziker. But I want to talk about hair: time ago I gave you some beauty advices how to look younger. Well, a sexy and feminine hairstyle (perfect for Michelle), looks heavy on Bacardi. The two have only 9 years apart, and yet …

RED PASSION

It’s my favorite color and I want to dedicate a small space to it. I love the look of Ilaria Spada and Valeria Solarino. I don’t like the dress wore by Valentina Lodovini: I think that her body could be enhanced better.

YOUNG STARS

Dulcis in fundo, I want to mention Lily Rose Depp. She is only 17 years old,  but she is incredibly beautiful, stylish and intriguing. On the other hand, with a dad like Johnny Depp and a mom like Vanessa Paradis, what would you expect?

And with this we ended the Venice Film Festival 2016.
